Jason sold his spec comedy WEDDING RINGS AND G-STRINGS to EG Productions and Fortress Features. The independently financed film was retitled BALLS TO THE WALL, directed by Penelope Spheeris (The Decline of Western Civilization Parts 1-3, Wayne’s World) and starring Joe Hursley, Chris McDonald and Mimi Rogers. It debuted at the Newport Beach Film Festival in the spring of 2011 with a limited theatrical run following that fall; it was released on DVD/VOD in 2014. He’s also been paid to rewrite a couple of other things that haven’t been made yet.
A graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, Jason also attended the UCLA Professional Program in Screenwriting where his screenplay BLACK WIND won the annual competition. Another script, LOVE AND DEATHRAYS, made the quarterfinals of the prestigious Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting program.
Jason feels a tad uncomfortable referring to himself in the third person and lives in a hopelessly unhip corner of Los Angeles, where he reads comic books, collects vintage vinyl and torments his wife, daughter and two cats with his bass playing. Geddy Lee doesn’t have anything to worry about.
